Amex 2-for-1 vouchers and EuroBonus awards

Credit-card blogs expire every month. The durable part is simple: a companion voucher doubles the value of a scarce Business seat — if you can find the seat.

Swedish Amex products have cycled through Elite, Platinum and Platinum Points Plus welcome offers, fee changes, Dining by Amex restaurant lists, and even Google Pay support. Those posts go stale. What stays useful is how a 2-for-1 voucher interacts with the award chart and with Primefly’s search tools.

What the voucher actually does

On a qualifying EuroBonus award, one voucher typically covers 50% of the points for up to two passengers on one booking. Taxes still apply per person. The calculator has an Amex 2-for-1 toggle so you can see the points after the voucher, including the “max one voucher, max two travellers” cap.

Premium Economy on KLM and Air France is now in the EuroBonus cabin set, so a voucher is no longer Business-or-nothing. That is the practical change in 2026, not another signup screenshot.

Membership Rewards vs SAS-branded cards

A SAS-branded Amex dumps points straight into EuroBonus. A Membership Rewards card can move to several airline programmes. After SAS joined SkyTeam, some travellers prefer transferable points plus a EuroBonus stash, rather than a single-brand card. Annual fees move; compare the current Amex page, not a May campaign PDF.

Dining credits and contactless wallet support are nice. They do not find you a Haneda seat.

Search like the voucher expires tomorrow
